The ground rules for using PerkMind, written to be as clear as we can make them. Last updated September 21, 2026.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Merchins LLC, a Missouri limited liability company doing business as PerkMind (“PerkMind,” “we,” “us”), governing the PerkMind iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch app and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use PerkMind. If you use PerkMind for an organization, you confirm you can bind it.
2. What PerkMind does
PerkMind helps you keep track of your credit cards and suggests which card to use for a purchase, based on card reward information and your purchase history. It is an informational tool — not a bank, card issuer, financial advisor, or payment service — and it never makes payments for you.
3. Estimates, not guarantees
Reward, benefit, credit, and value figures in PerkMind are estimates. They are not a live feed from your card issuer or bank and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. They are not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Always confirm exact rewards, balances, credits, fees, and terms with your card issuer before making a financial decision. We aren’t responsible for rewards you miss or decisions you make based on what the app shows.
4. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and be able to form a binding contract.
You sign in using Sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID, passkeys, and device secure — you’re responsible for activity under your account.
Your wallet is stored on your device and isn’t synced between devices yet. If you lose the device, we may not be able to recover it.
Give us accurate information, and tell us promptly at security@perkmind.app if you think your account has been compromised.
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
5. Cards and bank sync
PerkMind stores only basic card details (name, issuer, network, reward type, optional last four digits) — never your full card number, CVV, or PIN, so please don’t enter them anywhere in the app.
If you connect a bank account, you authorize PerkMind, Plaid, and our backend to retrieve your transaction data to match purchases to your cards. You can disconnect each linked institution individually at any time. Bank connections depend on third parties and may be unavailable or inaccurate. See Security for how this data is handled.
6. Subscription and billing
PerkMind requires an auto-renewing annual subscription, currently $19.99 USD per year (about $1.67 per month) and available in the United States. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app or your PerkMind account does not cancel the subscription. Purchases, refunds, and Restore Purchases are handled by Apple under its terms (including Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement), and the App Store shows the price you’ll be charged before you buy.
7. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
use PerkMind for anything unlawful or fraudulent, or submit false card or account information;
try to access other people’s accounts or data, or interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
reverse engineer, decompile, copy, or resell the app or its content, except where the law allows it;
use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service outside its intended interface, or overload it.
8. Ownership
The Service — including its software, design, catalog compilation, name, and logo — belongs to Merchins LLC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. Card names, logos, and network marks belong to their owners and are used only for identification; PerkMind is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any card issuer or network.
9. Third-party services
PerkMind relies on services we don’t control, such as Apple’s platform (including the App Store, Sign in with Apple, Face ID / Touch ID, passkeys, Core Location and MapKit), Plaid, and our infrastructure providers. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we’re not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY REWARD, BENEFIT, OR CREDIT ESTIMATE WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MERCHINS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST REWARDS, SAVINGS, PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON AN ESTIMATE, RECOMMENDATION, OR REPORT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DON’T ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITS, SO PART OF THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CAN’T BE LIMITED BY LAW.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Merchins LLC harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third party’s rights.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using PerkMind at any time by deleting your account in the app (deleting the app alone may leave Keychain data on your device). We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you’ve broken these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or unlawful conduct, or created risk or legal exposure for us or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including estimates, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use PerkMind after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection laws require otherwise. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires a dispute to be handled elsewhere.
